- <i>* Connection Mode<br/></i>
- <small>
- In the <b>"Connection mode"</b> selection box you select the connection mode. You can
- either use HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) or Gateway (Used with WAP Gateways).
- If connected with a mobile phone to your operators WAP service it will normally require that you use
- Gateway mode and enter the correct Gateway information on the <a href="gw.wml">Gateway options</a> page.
- If you use HTTP mode over a standard dial-up connection or LAN connection you might have to enter proxy
- information at the <a href="http.wml">HTTP page</a> to be able to open pages.

- <i>* Background Image<br/></i>
- <small>
- You can set the image that is displayed begind the WAP page on screen with this option.
- Select a valid image by clicking on the "Browse" button, and check the "Show
- Background image behind text" checkbox to show the image. You can select the image display
- mode with the options in the "Background image" selection box.

- <i>* Dial-up connection<br/></i>
- <small>
- The "Do not ask for dial-up connection" checkbox disables the window that lets you connect
- with a dial-up connection when you lauch WinWAP. Remove the check if you want to be asked to connect
- when you run WinWAP.

- <i>* Large toolbar buttons<br/></i>
- <small>
- If check is removed the text on the toolbar buttons will be hidden and the size of the buttons reduced.

- <i>* Transparent images<br/></i>

- When checked the images background will not be visible, and the background color/image is visible behind
- the image.

- <i>* Show images<br/></i>

- When checked WinWAP loads WAP images and displays them on screen. If you want to speed up loading you
- can remove this check, but then images are not shown.

- When checked WinWAP registers as the default reader for .wml files, so that if you select Open on a
- .wml file from windows explorer it will be shown with winwap.

- When checked WinWAP will remember the size and position of the window it was in when shut down, and
- it will re-open on the same position the next time you run it.
